First day!

Today was a long but fun day! We were all ready to start our adventure at 4:00 this morning when we met at the airport. We had a nice two hour flight to Miami. We saw the sunrise from the plane and caught a glimpse of a rainbow from the sky. In Miami, we got a little lost and had a lot of laughs. We finally found our gate and decided to camp there for our seven hour layover. Yes, you read that right... A SEVEN HOUR LAYOVER!! We had snacks, games, movies and schoolwork to make the time pass by quickly. Once everyone started getting slaphappy from exhaustion, it was time to board the plane for Ecuador! Once we landed, we had the warmest welcome! We loved seeing the friends we had made in March, as well as meeting new people. After sharing many hugs and taking many pictures, it was time to depart to our host families. We had a great first day, and we can’t wait to share our experience with you!

    I can't get over how great you look, considering how many hours in transit! And of course Becky Laudeman's hair alwaaaays looks fine :)Have lots of fun and stay safe!
